Best Drop is a Hop “Killian”
2021 | 16.1h | Thoroughbred Gelding

This incredibly sweet and amateur-friendly gelding has been beautifully started by his owner and has all the makings of a fantastic partner for someone looking to bring along a quality young horse. With lovely gaits, a naturally balanced way of going, and a great attitude toward his work, Killian could easily find his place in either the hunter or jumper ring.

Currently jumping around 2'6" courses with a green lead change, Killian has plenty of scope for more as he continues his education. We could easily see him cleaning up in the Thoroughbred Hunter Derbies! He has a lovely rhythm to the fences, is brave and willing, and is the type that can take a joke and forgive a rider's mistakes. For a young horse, he truly has one of the best brains!

Killian has been off property for numerous lessons, hauls like a dream, and takes new environments in stride. He's an easy keeper, barefoot behind, and has been happily turned out with other geldings as well as in a mixed herd. On the ground, he's an absolute sweetheart with a wonderful personality and is easy to have around the barn. He also enjoys hacking out, making him an excellent prospect for someone wanting a versatile all-around partner.

Killian is one of those horses that offers the best of both worlds: the quality and athleticism to be competitive, paired with the temperament and rideability that make him suitable for an amateur to continue producing. Whether your goals are the hunters, jumpers, or simply having a really nice horse to enjoy, Killian has all the right pieces to make someone a very special partner.
