Meet Smarty Power "Diesel", a 2021 Thoroughbred bay gelding standing 16.2h.

Retired from the track in November 2025, Diesel has been properly let down and thoughtfully restarted, and we cannot say enough good things about this young horse's brain.

If you're looking for an OTTB with a puppy-dog personality, Diesel checks all the boxes. He loves attention, enjoys being brushed and groomed, hacks out willingly, and is the same horse whether turned out with his gelding buddies or by himself. Even better? He's an easy keeper and happily goes barefoot.

Under saddle, Diesel is a true kick ride, goes quietly in a rubber snaffle, and is proving to be exceptionally willing in his work. He's just beginning his jumping education and is taking to it naturally with a great attitude and plenty of promise.

The kind of horse that could truly go in any direction—eventing, hunters, jumpers, pleasure riding, or simply being someone's best friend.

As Diesel continues his education with us, we'll be taking him off property to shows, schooling at Windurra, and giving him every opportunity to build confidence and mileage. His future is incredibly bright, and we're excited to help him find the perfect partner to continue the journey.
